The J. Paul Getty Museum hosts its annual College Night on Monday, April 24, 2017, from 6:00–9:30 p.m. at the Getty Center.  Students from CSUN are invited to enjoy a night of special tours and talks, music, hands-on art projects, gallery activities, free food, and more. This would be a great opportunity for students to experience free exclusive access to the Getty’s exhibitions and resources all for free while meeting students from all around the Los Angeles area! The details of the event are as follows:
Date: Monday, April 24th, 2017
Time: 6:00PM-9:30PM
Location: Getty Center,  1200 Getty Center Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90049
Registration & Parking: Free; advance tickets recommended.
To RSVP, please call (310) 440-7300 or visit see attached press release for more information.

As a CSUN student working on this event, I would hope to see many students from our institution at the College Night. At the event, we will have curators discussing some of the galleries as well as artists Jane and Louise Wilson in to discuss their exhibition Focus: Sealander. We will also have the MUI Lounge where students can talk to past Multicultural Undergraduate Interns to learn more about working in museums, which students in the art department may find helpful to learn more about. I ask if you can encourage students to attend, announce the event during class, pass the email/press release along, or maybe even offer extra credit (e.g.: writing a paper about one of our featured gallery tours, interviewing someone experienced in art field, or just discussing the overall event).

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jennelyn Tumalad, at JTumalad@getty.eduWe hope you are able to spread the word about College Night 2017 at the Getty!

Best Regards,
The Getty College Council
