The University Student Union is very excited to boldly go where no guest speaker at CSUN has gone before.
During his legendary career, George Takei has acted in many notable works, including his signature role as “Mr. Sulu” in “Star Trek: The Original Series” and six “Star Trek “ films. But there’s so much more to his incredible life story.
At “An Evening with George Takei” on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. in the VPAC, you’ll experience him live on stage, bringing his entertaining voice to issues ranging from politics to pop culture. Hear all about his journey from being imprisoned as a child by the U.S government in its Japanese internment camps during World War II to “Star Trek” fame and the best selling author of “Oh Myyy! There Goes the Internet”. A long-time activist and social media icon, George is one of the country’s leading figures in the fight for social justice, LGBTQ rights and marriage equality. Tickets are now available at the VPAC ticket office for just $5 to students, faculty and staff with a current CSUN ID. A book signing will follow his performance.
